What Is an Investor Password?
The Investor Password gives read-only access to your MT5 account. Anyone who logs in with this password can see your trades, balance, and history — but cannot open, modify, or close any positions.
When to Use It
Sharing your trading performance with a mentor or investor
Allowing a signal service to verify your results
Showing your track record to a prop trading firm
Letting a friend monitor your account without risk
How to Set an Investor Password
1. In MT5, go to Tools → Options → Server
2. Click Change Password
3. Select Change Investor (Read Only) Password
4. Enter and confirm your new investor password
5. Click OK
Security Notes
The Investor Password cannot be used to trade or withdraw funds
Change it regularly if you've shared it
If you suspect misuse, change both your main and investor passwords immediately
