How can an IP address cause a breach?

Updated this week

We monitor IP activity to protect accounts, ensure fair use, and meet regulatory requirements.

Same IP used for multiple accounts

Suppose several accounts connect from the same IP address without a legitimate link (e.g., same household or authorized team). In that case, it may indicate duplicate or shared accounts, which is against our rules.

Mobile, shared, or restricted-location IPs

Frequent logins from mobile networks, shared IPs (VPNs, public Wi-Fi, anonymizers), or locations in prohibited countries may suggest the account is being accessed by someone other than the original trader. In some cases, logging in from a restricted location can result in the account being blocked due to regulations. Using a VPN can cause dynamic changes in IP addresses, leading to interruptions in trading activities. Moreover, maintaining a stable and consistent IP address is essential for secure and compliant trading. Enabling a VPN may also complicate account verification processes, triggering security reviews.

These patterns alone don’t confirm a breach, but they are strong risk indicators.

We also track other IP behaviors, which in most cases fall into one of the categories above. Specifically, using VPNs can lead to dynamic IP changes that might trigger alerts under our security protocols. Avoiding such behaviors can help ensure smoother account management and fewer disruptions.

Maintaining a secure and compliant trading environment is a shared responsibility. By following our platform rules and avoiding high-risk login behaviors, you help keep your account — and the NeomAAA community — safe.

Notes:

  1. If we detect VPN/VPS/Proxy use or an untrusted network, your account may be manually reviewed by Risk.

  2. If confirmed, we may, at our sole discretion, deduct all/part of a payout, reset the account, or breach/close it.

  3. Avoid VPN/Proxy and trade from your usual network. If traveling or changing ISP, notify us beforehand.

  4. Appeal: open a ticket with explanation and evidence (dates/location/ISP).5. For continuity and smoother trading activities, it is highly recommended to disable VPNs before accessing your account. This minimizes the chances of unnecessary security reviews.
